Fisher | Dowker Wedding

At the end of the summer in 2007, Good friends Lindsay (Lindsay Fisher Photography) and Andy got married in Kingston Ontario. Taking photographs at their wedding was easy because they're so much in love and it radiates from them. Below are a few examples of what I was able to capture during the ceremony and afterwards. Live Theatre: Trying

In mid-2008, I shot another play directed by Dia Frid called 'Trying.' The play featured two actors (Carolyn Campbell & Vince Carlin), who were on the stage together the entire length of the play. Both are excellent actors and made this difficult feat seem easy as pie. I much enjoy looking back through these pictures as both Carolyn and Vince are very animated with their facial expressions and gestures. Live theatre is an experience in itself to shoot, one that I completely enjoy. t.

Controlling Light

In working on an advertising campaign for one of our client's, we used a stock image of a beer stein in the piece we were designing. Although the image worked well given the context of the design, it sparked my interest as to whether I could do better. The image to the left was made in broad daylight, using three strobes (flashes) to control how much light hit the stein, and where. The remaining images below came through experimenting with controlling light (and darkness for that matter). I'm quite happy with the results and I've come to really like the beer stine image. t.

Oliver Connell: The first three days

Most of you know by now that back in November, Dana and I welcomed our first son Oliver into our family. Oliver has been a real joy to have as a son and I look forward to watching him grow up. These shots below were taken in his first three days of being in this world. You will see that right from the very beginning, he was alert, and quite strong. Although, from most of the pictures below...it looks like he likes to sleep :) t.
