Child Photography: Presley Willemsen

Posted on 19 August 2010 by ostap

Presley was born to good friends Scott and Stacey earlier this year. If you remember, I did some pet photography for them of their first baby: Webber. Again, we had some fun posing Presley for the camera. I’ve gotta admit, baby photography is tough stuff. Lots of people have commented on the work I’ve done of my son Oliver and said they want the same for their kids. I usually have to kindly remind them that Oliver’s photos were taken over multiple sessions and many months. That’s obviously not to say we won’t get what we want, it just might take a bit of time. LOL!

But, of course, Presley was a complete doll during our session, only really saying anything when she got hungry. And honestly, who doesn’t complain when they are hungry?

Below is a fun sampling of the photos taken that Friday morning.

Cheers!

Maternity Session: The Massey-Singhs

Posted on 17 August 2010 by ostap

Remembering back not so long ago taking pictures of my then pregnant wife Dana, she had this wonderful radiating glow to her. I think it’s all part of the process for women: they are just bursting with all these emotions that they lend themselves to some really great photos. This was certainly the case when I photographed Angel and her family. We spent one Sunday morning outside on their property and then eventually in the house, photographing them enjoying the day. I really love how these photographs turned out. I hope you enjoy looking at them too!

Cheers!

Engagement Session: Anastasia & Grant

Posted on 22 July 2010 by tcp

Anastasia and Grant have to be the sweetest couple I’ve ever met, and I’ve met a lot of sweet people in my lifetime! I have the distinct pleasure of photographing their wedding in August at The Old Mill in Toronto. But before we get there, Anastasia and Grant were looking for some engagement photos of them celebrating this most happy time in their lives. So, one Sunday in May, we headed down to Osgoode Hall in downtown Toronto to make some photographs. Grant is a lawyer so the buildings, not only with their historic significance, but their architectural beauty as well, hold a special place in Grant’s life. As you can see from the photos below, the day turned out beautifully and I think the photographs did too.

Enjoy this special time together Anastasia and Grant, and I can’t wait to be a part of your special day!

Cheers!

Easthope Family Portraits in Gage Park

Posted on 26 August 2009 by tcp

A few weeks ago, I spent the morning with the Easthope family in downtown Brampton at Gage Park, enjoying the beautiful weather and taking some family portraits. This was a session that had been delayed twice because of unruly weather conditions and we were so happy to have a nice morning to shoot. When doing any portrait session outside, the weather can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. Mother Nature was the former on this day.

Below are some examples of the photos we took. If you or any of your friends/family/colleagues are looking for relaxed, candid portraits, please contact me for your customized quote. As always, my details can be found on my Contact Me page.

And to the Easthope family, it was such a pleasure working with you. I hope you enjoy your photos!

Jill & Andrew’s Cookout

Posted on 27 July 2009 by tcp

If you recall in a previous post, I shot Jill and Andrew’s engagement photos here. The next session I had with them was the night before their wedding where Andrew’s family was hosting a cookout for everyone. It was an afternoon filled with sun, food, fun and laughter. Both the Duling and Kunica families were very kind, sweet, and so very welcoming. I had a blast documenting the afternoon.

Below are some pictures from the event.

Engagement Session: Jill & Andrew

Posted on 03 June 2009 by tcp

A Couple of Saturdays ago, I spent a few hours with Jill and Andrew to do an engagement session. I will be shooting their wedding on July 4th at Langdon Hall and couldn’t be more excited to work with this couple again.

On this particular Saturday, we went down to Gairloch Gardens in Oakville Ontario to shoot on their beautiful grounds. We continued on the waterfront in downtown Oakville, enjoying the wonderful spring weather. We had a great time together, which I think you can see from the photos we made.

All the best to Jill and Andrew with their final preparations.

Oliver Connell: Six Months Old!

Posted on 03 June 2009 by tcp

It seems like just yesterday I was posting some pictures of Oliver in his first couple days of life. Well, Oliver is now six months old and I’d thought it was time to post some new ones. Dana and I took Oliver to Gage Park for some fun under the trees and in the gazebo. Oliver was awesome during the entire shoot, content with just doing his own thing. I guess this is all second-hat to him as he’s had a lens stuck in his face since birth!

Anyways, enjoy the pictures below.

Child Photography: Roman Citta

Posted on 01 April 2009 by tcp

Not too long ago, I was approached by friends Victoria and Mario to shoot their son Roman. Roman was born a week after Oliver and Vicky and Mario wanted some pictures to document his three month birthday. I spent some time getting to know Roman and by the end of the afternoon, he was brimming ear to ear for us.

Below are a couple examples of the many wonderful photos we made that day.

Child Photography: Gisele Richter

Posted on 30 March 2009 by tcp

A couple of weekends ago, I did a portrait session for Gisele Richter. This cutie was a blast to work with. She played shy for the first little bit but once she was comfortable with me (and the honkin’ lens in her face), she was the perfect model!

Have a look at a few of the examples below!

Pet Photography: Webber

Posted on 19 March 2009 by tcp

Just recently I had the distinct honour of shooting Webber, a beautiful dog and family member to friends Stacey and Scott. Webber was an absolute gem to work with, often making my job very easy to do. This is good news simply because I don’t do much pet photography and was really unsure as to how the day would go. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
