A couple of weeks I was contacted by the author and administrator of the Ontario Wedding Blog and was asked if I’d like to contribute some of my photos for a feature on David’s Restaurant in Port Dover. If you recall, I shot Kerri and Josh’s wedding ceremony there last year.

David’s Restaurant is a gorgeous location for a wedding ceremony or reception. Their back lawns overlook the water and are a perfect place to capture some wonderful memories. If you are willing to make the trip to Port Dover, David’s is definitely a place you must check out.

And if you are interested in reading the article and seeing some of my photos, please visit the Ontario Wedding Blog’s article here.

Campbell | Benvenuti Wedding

Posted on 08 January 2011 by tcp

Kerri Campbell & Josh Benvenuti were married in front of friends and family in Port Dover Ontario on September 25th, 2010. Their gorgeous wedding ceremony took place on the back lawns of David’s Restaurant overlooking calm waters and stunning shorelines. The weather was a bit chilly but nothing could damper the love and passion Kerri & Josh share for each other. Their elegant ceremony was just the start of a great celebration, one that went late into the night.

Their reception followed at the Backstage Capitol in Delhi Ontario. Kerri and Josh had this old theatre decorated with not only tables and chairs, but sofas and lounge seats as well. This really gave the room a relaxed feeling, one that ties in well with Kerri and Josh’s approach to just about everything in life. Everyone ate, drank and danced the night away. A great time was had by all.

A BIG thanks once again to Andrea for spending the entire day shooting with me. I really appreciate your help and your company!

Please enjoy the photos below!

Cheers!

Reid | Ferguson Wedding

Posted on 16 December 2010 by tcp

Anastasia Reid & Grant Ferguson were married in front of friends and family in Toronto Ontario on August 20th, 2010. The ceremony took place at The Old Mill and the reception immediately followed in the elegant “Brule Room” which is also at the same location. Anastasia and Grant opted for the ever popular “first look” which meant that they got to see each other before the wedding ceremony. They also gathered their wedding party as well as some immediate family for a few photographs during this time. The day was beautifully sunny with lots of opportunities to capture Anastasia and Grant’s radiating love for each other. They were married under candle light in the chapel at the Old Mill where a warm glow from the sun pierced through the stained glass, illuminating the beautiful scene.

The reception followed in the Brule Room C at The Old Mill. Friends and family, young and old, ate, drank and danced the night away. It was such a beautiful sight to see Anastasia and Grant surrounded by such love and support from their loved ones. A great time was had by all.

Below are some images taken on Anastasia and Grant’s wedding day. I hope you enjoy.

Cheers!

Marshall | Jeenes Wedding

Posted on 06 December 2010 by tcp

Christina Marshall & David Jeenes were married in front of friends and family in Edin Mills Ontario on August 14th, 2010. This was much like a homecoming for the Bride as the church she got married in was the one that her and her family attended when she was young. The Minister who used to run the church was kind enough to come back to marry Christina and David. It was a hot and humid day but nothing could damper the love and passion Christina & David share for each other. Their simple but elegant ceremony had many attendants silently crying, as both Christina and David wrote their own vows, clearly speaking words from close to their hearts.

The reception followed at Rockmosa in Rockwood Ontario. Everyone ate, drank and danced the night away. It was such a beautiful sight to see Christina and David surrounded by such love and support from their loved ones. A great time was had by all.

Below are some photographs made during the day.

Please enjoy!

Lacelle | Rudow Wedding

Posted on 02 December 2010 by tcp

Brandy and Craig were married on June 12th, 2010 in the K-W area. We started our day at Craig’s place in Kitchener where he was getting ready with his boys. We then hopped over to Billy and Charlene Lacelle’s place where Brandy and her ladies were getting ready. Brandy and Craig were married in a little white chapel in Doon Village. They professed their love for each other in front of friends and family on what turned out to be a beautiful day in June. We then went and made some photos in and around the Doon Ruins, and over at the Victoria Park Pavillion where the reception was being held. The party went into the early hours and everyone had a wonderful time. The reception even had a surprise visit from a fire truck (planned of course)!

Congratulations Brandy and Craig!

Cheers!

Murray | McAloney Wedding Reception

Posted on 13 July 2010 by tcp

Sarah Murray and Chris McAloney were married in Las Vegas earlier this year and to celebrate, they had a wedding reception for friends and family at the Rotary Glen of Brampton. I was approached by Sarah’s sister Serena about doing some photography for the event and we decided that a “Mock Photobooth” would be the way to go! Guests were able to let loose in front of the camera and I was there to document it! This type of setup is great for capturing images you can then send to your guests in their thank you cards. Some guests use the opportunity to get a nice portrait done with their families, others just get goofy in front of the camera. Any way you look at it, the event gets documented and you have some fun images to boot.

Some of the images I captured are below.

And if you are interested in adding a photobooth to your next event, please contact me here.

Cheers!

Duling | Kunica Wedding

Posted on 04 August 2009 by tcp

From the moment I met Jill and Andrew, I knew they were perfect for each other. Jill is strong, articulate, vibrant and beautiful and Andrew compliments her simply by…complimenting her!

No, In all seriousness, what makes their relationship work, at least in my eyes, is their uncanny ability to be what the other needs them to be – just at the right moment. You don’t always see this with every marriage, but it is clear these two wonderful souls have it. And by the time their wedding day arrived, they made it look like weddings were a piece of cake, floating through the day with style and grace.

Jill and Andrew’s wedding took place at Langdon Hall ( www.langdonhall.ca ) in Cambridge Ontario on July 4th, Independence Day in the States. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, followed by cocktails on the patio and dinner in the Orchard Room. The weather welcomed the union of Jill and Andrew by providing a bright, blue, sunny day, one that wasn’t too sweltering.

I extend a very heartfelt thanks to the Duling and Kunica family for allowing me to be a part of their special day. Below are some pictures I took during the days events.

Fisher | Dowker Wedding

Posted on 13 February 2009 by tcp

At the end of the summer in 2007, Good friends Lindsay (Lindsay Fisher Photography) and Andy got married in Kingston Ontario. Taking photographs at their wedding was easy because they’re so much in love and it radiates from them. Below are a few examples of what I was able to capture during the ceremony and afterwards. Congratulations to them both and I wish them much love and success in their journey together.

Reid | Houston Reception

Posted on 24 January 2009 by tcp

Good friends Leanne & Chris married in the summer of 2007 in Gatineau Quebec. They had an outdoor wedding on the grounds of Chateau Cartier with the reception immediately following inside one of their grand ballrooms. I was fortunate enough to shoot their reception, capturing many of the wonderful moments that transpired. It was truly an honour to celebrate this wonderful day with Chris and Leanne.
