Duling | Kunica Wedding

JA_Wedding287

From the moment I met Jill and Andrew, I knew they were perfect for each other. Jill is strong, articulate, vibrant and beautiful and Andrew compliments her simply by...complimenting her! No, In all seriousness, what makes their relationship work, at least in my eyes, is their uncanny ability to be what the other needs them to be - just at the right moment. You don't always see this with every marriage, but it is clear these two wonderful souls have it. And by the time their wedding day arrived, they made it look like weddings were a piece of cake, floating through the day with style and grace. Jill...

Jill & Andrew’s Cookout

JA_Cookout025

If you recall in a previous post, I shot Jill and Andrew's engagement photos here. The next session I had with them was the night before their wedding where Andrew's family was hosting a cookout for everyone. It was an afternoon filled with sun, food, fun and laughter. Both the Duling and Kunica families were very kind, sweet, and so very welcoming. I had a blast documenting the afternoon. Below are some pictures from the event. t.

Engagement Session: Jill & Andrew

Jill&AndrewEngage-012

A Couple of Saturdays ago, I spent a few hours with Jill and Andrew to do an engagement session. I will be shooting their wedding on July 4th at Langdon Hall and couldn't be more excited to work with this couple again. On this particular Saturday, we went down to Gairloch Gardens in Oakville Ontario to shoot on their beautiful grounds. We continued on the waterfront in downtown Oakville, enjoying the wonderful spring weather. We had a great time together, which I think you can see from the photos we made. All the best to Jill and Andrew with their final preparations. t.

Oliver Connell: Six Months Old!

OliverDay170-020

It seems like just yesterday I was posting some pictures of Oliver in his first couple days of life. Well, Oliver is now six months old and I'd thought it was time to post some new ones. Dana and I took Oliver to Gage Park for some fun under the trees and in the gazebo. Oliver was awesome during the entire shoot, content with just doing his own thing. I guess this is all second-hat to him as he's had a lens stuck in his face since birth! Anyways, enjoy the pictures below. t.

Child Photography: Roman Citta

Not too long ago, I was approached by friends Victoria and Mario to shoot their son Roman. Roman was born a week after Oliver and Vicky and Mario wanted some pictures to document his three month birthday. I spent some time getting to know Roman and by the end of the afternoon, he was brimming ear to ear for us. Below are a couple examples of the many wonderful photos we made that day. t.

Child Photography: Gisele Richter

GiseleRichter06

A couple of weekends ago, I did a portrait session for Gisele Richter. This cutie was a blast to work with. She played shy for the first little bit but once she was comfortable with me (and the honkin' lens in her face), she was the perfect model! Have a look at a few of the examples below! t.

Objects Around The House

In testing a new lens that was purchased back in December, I took some macro photos but never processed them. Well today I had a bit of time to revisit the images and I must say, I am very happy with the results. Below are a few examples of what I have created. t.

Live Theatre: Copenhagen

Copenhagen-044

Last week I shot another play out at Threatre Burlington called Copenhagen. This play had three actors who were on stage the entire time!! The play "concerns a meeting between two brilliant scientists who had once done ground-breaking research together on the atom. Set in 1941, German physicist Werner Heisenberg makes a trip to Copenhagen to see Niels Bohr, a friend and colleague with whom he now has an estranged relationship." This play was moving on to festival as of this week and I wish them all the best and much success! t.

Pet Photography: Webber

Webber-068

Just recently I had the distinct honour of shooting Webber, a beautiful dog and family member to friends Stacey and Scott. Webber was an absolute gem to work with, often making my job very easy to do. This is good news simply because I don't do much pet photography and was really unsure as to how the day would go. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. t.

Maternity Session: Kathryn & Yvan

KYMaternity-009

Good friends Kathryn and Yvan asked me to do a maternity session for them back in February of last year. With their son Leo almost one now, it seemed only fitting that I share with you these beautiful images we made together. On this particular afternoon, we tried several different approaches: relaxed candids, controlled light portraits, and studio style fixed poses. I'm really happy with the results and I think you will agree, the images below really capture the essence of Kathryn & Yvan's love for each other and for their son Leo. t.
