My 100 & Me [Week 35]

It’s hard to believe that winter was ever here – with the warmest temperatures we’ve had yet this year enveloping us this weekend. The snow has all but melted, the ground is thawing, and the days are certainly getting longer, filled with all the sunlight we’ve missed…and needed.

My 100 & Me [Week 34]

Nothing to see here. Just some thawing grounds, dripping eavestroughs and melting snowbanks. It’s the first day of plus whatever temperatures and it actually feels like we are coming out of winter for warmer months. No one wants to jinx it here but wouldn’t it be nice if we actually saw an early spring?

My 100 & Me [Week 33]

I recently re-read “The Democratic Forest” by William Eggleston, a photo book that is highly regarded for it’s disconnected images that somehow still tell a story. Eggleston is highly renowned for his colour photography work, in a time when the “masters” were still shooting black and white.

My 100 & Me [Week 05]

This week was all about black and white images…from just one session. Seriously, anyone who has tried to do a photo “challenge” consistently will know that it’s really tough to stay consistent. Building something like this into your routine takes time, and effort, and the knowledge to be…

Foley Mountain Before the Storm

Standing on Foley Mountain watching a storm approach Westport was a sight to be seen. The heavy rain clouds I saw approach Bedford Mills earlier in the afternoon led me to believe there was a system of storms coming towards the area. While others might have said: “good time to hunker down and hide away…

Brockville Tunnel

The Brockville Tunnel was built as part of Canada’s first railway in 1860. It’s full of amazing rock, stunning views and super eerie atmosphere. It has been turned into a mixed-multimedia installation poised to hit all your senses. It has music playing throughout the tunnel, water dripping down the rocks in some…
