Featured On….

Posted on 11 April 2011 by tcp

A couple of weeks I was contacted by the author and administrator of the Ontario Wedding Blog and was asked if I’d like to contribute some of my photos for a feature on David’s Restaurant in Port Dover. If you recall, I shot Kerri and Josh’s wedding ceremony there last year.

David’s Restaurant is a gorgeous location for a wedding ceremony or reception. Their back lawns overlook the water and are a perfect place to capture some wonderful memories. If you are willing to make the trip to Port Dover, David’s is definitely a place you must check out.

And if you are interested in reading the article and seeing some of my photos, please visit the Ontario Wedding Blog’s article here.

Dana Ruprecht Portraits at Home

Posted on 26 March 2011 by tcp

Dana Ruprecht of Ashes of Roses and my beautiful wife asked me to take some relaxed portraits of her that she could use for an article that was being written about her in the Hamilton Spectator. Dana was the lead actress in a play called “Chapter Two” which just wrapped up at Theatre Burlington. The article was equal parts about Dana’s history in acting and the role she was bringing to life in Chapter Two.

If you are interested in the article, it can be found here.

Live Concert: The Trews at the Tatoo Rock Parlor

Posted on 24 March 2011 by tcp

Back in December, I had the privilege of being invited to The Verge/XM Radio’s Christmas Party at the Tatoo Rock Parlor. This particular party featured a two set acoustic show by none other than The Trews. The music was great, the vibe was cool, and it was a great time to take some photos. Because there was no pressure to shoot for anyone else, I thought it would be a good time to try shooting a series in B/W. I absolutely LOVE the contrasty look these photos took on.

I hope you enjoy them too!

Cheers!

Engagement Session: Steph, David & Foster

Posted on 08 February 2011 by tcp

Good friends Steph and David are set to marry this summer and I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph their wedding. But before we get to that, last fall we got together one beautiful morning for some engagement/family photos in Gage Park in downtown Brampton. The ground was covered in leaves of every colour and the sun was peaking in and out of the big old trees that create a canopy over the park. Foster, Steph and David’s son, had a blast playing about in the leaves.

Thank you so much to David, Steph and Foster for such a wonderful morning. You guys are just full of love and laughs and I know we are going to have a wonderful time making photos on your wedding day.

Cheers!

Campbell | Benvenuti Wedding

Posted on 08 January 2011 by tcp

Kerri Campbell & Josh Benvenuti were married in front of friends and family in Port Dover Ontario on September 25th, 2010. Their gorgeous wedding ceremony took place on the back lawns of David’s Restaurant overlooking calm waters and stunning shorelines. The weather was a bit chilly but nothing could damper the love and passion Kerri & Josh share for each other. Their elegant ceremony was just the start of a great celebration, one that went late into the night.

Their reception followed at the Backstage Capitol in Delhi Ontario. Kerri and Josh had this old theatre decorated with not only tables and chairs, but sofas and lounge seats as well. This really gave the room a relaxed feeling, one that ties in well with Kerri and Josh’s approach to just about everything in life. Everyone ate, drank and danced the night away. A great time was had by all.

A BIG thanks once again to Andrea for spending the entire day shooting with me. I really appreciate your help and your company!

Please enjoy the photos below!

Cheers!

Live Theatre: The Subject Was Roses

Posted on 08 January 2011 by tcp

“The Subject Was Roses is a Pulitzer Prize-winning 1964 play written by Frank D. Gilroy, who also adapted the work in 1968 for film with the same title.” My good friend Dia Frid directed the play on stage at the Little Burlington Theatre and was kind enough to ask me to shoot it for her. I must say, I always enjoy making photographs of theatrical plays because there are usually so many wonderful moments that happen over the course of a couple of hours. Whether it be a piece of dramatic stage lighting, or an expression from one of the actors, or even an intense moment between two characters, there is never a shortage of moments to capture.

I hope you enjoy some of the photos I’ve posted below and please remember to support your local theatres!

Cheers!

Reid | Ferguson Wedding

Posted on 16 December 2010 by tcp

Anastasia Reid & Grant Ferguson were married in front of friends and family in Toronto Ontario on August 20th, 2010. The ceremony took place at The Old Mill and the reception immediately followed in the elegant “Brule Room” which is also at the same location. Anastasia and Grant opted for the ever popular “first look” which meant that they got to see each other before the wedding ceremony. They also gathered their wedding party as well as some immediate family for a few photographs during this time. The day was beautifully sunny with lots of opportunities to capture Anastasia and Grant’s radiating love for each other. They were married under candle light in the chapel at the Old Mill where a warm glow from the sun pierced through the stained glass, illuminating the beautiful scene.

The reception followed in the Brule Room C at The Old Mill. Friends and family, young and old, ate, drank and danced the night away. It was such a beautiful sight to see Anastasia and Grant surrounded by such love and support from their loved ones. A great time was had by all.

Below are some images taken on Anastasia and Grant’s wedding day. I hope you enjoy.

Cheers!

Marshall | Jeenes Wedding

Posted on 06 December 2010 by tcp

Christina Marshall & David Jeenes were married in front of friends and family in Edin Mills Ontario on August 14th, 2010. This was much like a homecoming for the Bride as the church she got married in was the one that her and her family attended when she was young. The Minister who used to run the church was kind enough to come back to marry Christina and David. It was a hot and humid day but nothing could damper the love and passion Christina & David share for each other. Their simple but elegant ceremony had many attendants silently crying, as both Christina and David wrote their own vows, clearly speaking words from close to their hearts.

The reception followed at Rockmosa in Rockwood Ontario. Everyone ate, drank and danced the night away. It was such a beautiful sight to see Christina and David surrounded by such love and support from their loved ones. A great time was had by all.

Below are some photographs made during the day.

Please enjoy!

The Riverbend Inn

Posted on 10 May 2010 by tcp

As I participated in the Off Camera Lighting workshop held by Rick Denham (for more information on the workshop and some of my results from weekend, click here) I had the privilege of staying at the luxurious Riverbend Inn in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It’s too easy to feel like a King when you are staying at a stunning place like this! And even though it was cold, and snowy, and COLD, it didn’t stop me from walking the grounds and getting some shots.

Results are below, I hope you enjoy.

Cheers!
