Ok let’s be honest here: if you are visiting this page to learn something about me, you’ve probably also read a bunch of other photographer’s bios in your searches. Some take the approach that writing in the third person makes your site look more professional. Others will write about all their accomplishments, their awards, etc., etc., while others will write about all the fancy gear they have.

What is hard to grasp from the two to three paragraphs you skim on their “about” pages is WHO that person really is and does his/her philosophies align with mine? Because when it comes down to selecting a photographer (and I am going to assume that’s why you are here), it’s crucial that you can build a rapport with that person enough to create something amazing together.

So here’s what inspires me:

FAMILY
I love my family. Period. Exclamation mark. My family is the reason I became a professional photographer, and why I continue to push myself creatively. My son, Oliver, in particular, continues to teach me how vital it is to document a child’s precious years on camera. He stars in several photos featured on my website!

RELATIONSHIPS
I married the love of my life in a Scottish castle. And yes, I wore a kilt. It was magical beyond my wildest dreams, and I bring the inspiration of that day along with me to every shoot.

FOOD
I love to cook, and I love to enjoy someone else’s good cooking.  I often suggest to my clients that we grab a bite to eat while discussing what is most important to them. Some of the best conversations and the best ideas happen over the plating of a delicious meal.

CONNECTIONS
This is what photography is about.  I want my clients to have beautiful, emotive photographs, so I make sure that you are as comfortable with me as I am with you. The lens doesn’t lie; finding the right fit between photographer and subject isn’t about the money… it’s imperative.

So now that you know a little about me – I’d love to hear more about what interests you! Please visit my contact page and send me a message via the contact form. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
