Last year Dana and I really wanted to take the 1000 Island Cruise from Gananoque to Boldt Castle and back. We thought it would be a wonderful adventure for us to do as a family, especially in the Autumn when the leaves were changing colours. With everything that happened with moving into the house last year (you can read all about it here) and all the setbacks we had, we just didn’t have the time to make it happen.
So this year we made a mental note that we wanted to at least try and make it happen. As luck would have it, we ended up having a free weekend over Thanksgiving and with it being Dana’s birthday, and our wedding anniversary all in the same week, it seemed like the stars were aligning to make this the perfect outing. But of course, it was a dull and dreary day weather-wise, and the leaves hadn’t changed colour yet down in the 1000 Islands where the cruise took us. But we made the best of it and had a really fun adventure.
