Chaffey’s Lock Craft Market

One of the first local events that we were able to enjoy this past summer was the Chaffey’s Lock and area Heritage Society Craft Market. It was held on the front lawns of the beautiful Opinicon Dining & Resort. This was our first time attending both the craft market and seeing the Opinicon. What a treat! The Opinicon reminds me of Kellerman’s Resort from the movie Dirty Dancing! It definitely has that family vibe up front but you could totally imagine Patrick Swayze running some sick staff parties after hours around back! “At Kellerman’s we come together!”

The image above is of a lovely man we met who lives in the area and shuttles people back and forth from the designated parking area and the Opinicon. He has this amazing old Lincoln that’s all pimped out, which definitely suits his personality! He came to our rescue when a rainstorm blew in suddenly at the end of the day and threatened to soak us to the bone.

We had a great day exploring all the vendors unique treasures and having a little ice cream to boot. Can’t wait to go back! If you are in the area at the start of August, you should think about going too!
