First Kayak Launch
One of the things I was so looking forward to with our move to the country was to be able to get out on the water more. We are so fortunate to basically be surrounded by ponds and lakes so it only made sense to get myself a kayak. I didn’t go all out and get the Cadillac of kayaks but I settled on a stable yet quick, recreational kayak, the Pelican Escape 120x.
One of the features that I love about this kayak is that it has two dry lock storage compartments: a small one right in front of me which is perfect for my phone, keys, and other small items. The second one is much larger and sits directly behind me. This one is great for larger items such as my lunch (I’m a big guy and I eat A LOT!) or clothes or a larger camera. I wanted to be able to feel safe taking my gear out onto the water and that meant also having a place to store it in case of inclement weather.
I look forward to the warmer weather in hopes to be able to get out and do some more kayaking this year. It’s great exercise and I love exploring the surrounding areas.
